I’m So In Love With You

It may seem paradoxical, but sometimes it is when we have a trauma that afterwards we find true peace. Sometimes, in fact, calmness and a free state of mind acquire a new shade in the strength and effort we put into recovering from an accident. And this is framed perfectly in Shelita’s new EP “In Depth” and particularly in the track “I’m so in Love with you”. After the dark moments of traumatic experiences and feelings, we truly grasp the sense of joy. Because we missed the possibility of laughs, love, and lightheartedness, we look for what has been missing when we start to heal. We look for the freedom of actively living, within all its meanings. And this is what happened to the singer Shelita. After an accident while diving in the Seychelles, she found peace in music and diving into the depths. This combination has given birth to her latest EP. And her song “I’m so in Love with you” brings forth the signs and sorrow of those moments passed in a hospital bed. It’s not within the lyrics or the melody that this latter comes from, but within an incredible will of loving somebody or something till madness. It’s a call, a desperate urge to feel alive. In a society where feelings are marginalised, Shelita’s music and experience remind us instead they can be the cure; it portrays love as a chance to really save us and gives the strength to overcome the momentary holding pattern.
